About the Role

CCST is seeking a Mid-Level IT Specialist to support the NYS OCFS CONNECTIONS project , a critical statewide child welfare information system used by thousands of professionals supporting children and families. The selected consultant will provide on-site and virtual technical assistance, user support, and training for system enhancements, helping ensure compliance, data integrity, and effective use of the platform.

What You’ll Do

• Provide CONNECTIONS application support to users via in-person, email, and phone
• Deliver on-site instruction and small group training sessions on new functionality
• Create and present materials for line staff on new or updated features
• Monitor compliance with data entry requirements and assist with corrections
• Review and refine training documentation
• Provide technical assistance for the CONNECTIONS Data Warehouse
• Support large-scale rollouts from needs assessment to production support

Must-Have Qualifications

• 44+ months providing IT support in a child welfare environment (child protective, foster care, or preventive services)
• 44+ months supporting new application implementations in child welfare
• 44+ months providing on-site user support for large-scale (15,000+ user) distributed systems
• 44+ months supporting system rollouts from needs assessment to ongoing support
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Strong communication and training delivery skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with NYS OCFS CONNECTIONS or similar state-level child welfare systems
• Knowledge of data warehouse environments and reporting tools
• Experience with state government or human services projects

Tech Stack You’ll Touch

CONNECTIONS (statewide child welfare platform), Data Warehouse, Microsoft Office Suite, standard help desk and training systems.
