Location: Brooklyn, NY 11203

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay: $80–$84/hr

Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Wound Care RN to perform focused assessments, develop care plans, manage complex wounds/ostomies/continence cases, and support clinical staff through education and best-practice guidance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wound/ostomy/continence assessments and create individualized plans of care.

• Document treatment responses and ensure quality of care across the unit.

• Provide patient, family, and staff education, including orientation and in-service training.

• Prevent pressure injuries and initiate appropriate interventions.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and escalate clinical or ethical concerns.

• Participate in unit and hospital-wide quality improvement activities.

• Support equipment management (e.g., specialty beds, NPWT devices).

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient rights and professional standards.

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years Med/Surg; wound and colostomy care required.

• Education: ASN/ADN from an accredited program.

• Required Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active New York State RN License.

  • Verification of RN license through NYSED.

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).

  • One of the following wound-care certifications:

    • Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) – WOCNCB

    • Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) – WOCNCB

    • Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) – WOCNCB

    • Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) – ABWM

    • Wound Care Certified (WCC) – NAWCO
