We're looking for an experienced and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team!

Compensation
: $60,000 - $85,000/annually (based on experience). Full Time, 40 hours a week, non-exempt.

Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist assists with the leadership and guidance of the functions and duties of the Human Resources Department. The employee contributes to an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and promotion of the company's mission and values. The employee carries out responsibilities in some or all the following areas: recruitment, employee relations, training, benefits, compensation, and executive administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the recruiting, application, onboarding and termination process. Provides support for the hiring process, including coordination of applicant testing and interview scheduling.
  • Leads the recruitment efforts for company positions by utilizing a variety of job posting boards and networks.
  • Interviews applicants for hire.
  • Assists in the coordination of employee safety, welfare, wellness, benefits, and health programs.
  • Assists with annual benefit renewal.
  • Administrates over employee benefits and reconciles benefits monthly.
  • Coordinates and processes ACA reporting.
  • Maintains active and terminated employee files processes changes in the HRIS.
  • Assists with creating employee corrective actions and performance improvement plans.
  • Assists with weekly payroll processing.
  • Assists with leave administration and worker’s compensation.
  • Maintains Company job descriptions.
  • Assists in planning companywide events and trainings.
  • Ensures confidentiality of designated materials. Models appropriate and cooperative behavior and uses tact in dealing with sensitive materials.
  • Answers procedural questions, directs inquiries and interacts in person or on the phone with employees and their relevant concerns.
  • Maintains current knowledge of personnel rules, regulations, laws, and procedures by attending conferences, workshops, and reading current publications.
  • Models appropriate and cooperative behavior, including protecting confidential information consistent with Company and ethical guidelines.
  • Ability to travel locally and within a 4-hour radius of Rochester. Travel 20-40%

Core Competencies/Qualifications:

  • Commitment to the company’s mission.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Human Resources.
  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now and AI recruitment tools a plus.
  • Demonstrated skill in effective and professional communication.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and high-level of computer skills required (Microsoft Office Suite: 365, SharePoint, Excel, Teams).
  • Skill in effective customer service and public relations.
  • Ability to attend to detail and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Ability to organize and set priorities for work.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers, administrative team, and the public.
