Job Title: RN – Adult Care

Location: New York, NY

Type: Contract (Temp to Permanent)

Shift: Day Shift (09:00 AM – 05:00 PM)

Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM | Every Other Weekend Required | Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Pay Rate: Up to $80/hour (Negotiable Based on Experience)

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking RN – Adult Care for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgical patients in home settings
• Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments
• Perform wound care, infection control, IV therapy, and catheter insertion
• Monitor patient vitals and report changes in condition or adverse reactions
• Manage and monitor specialized medical equipment as required
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and post-care instructions
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for discharge planning and continuity of care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Follow nursing protocols, safety standards, and best practices
• Provide telemetry monitoring and post-operative care as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Active New York State RN License required
• AHA BLS Certification required
• AHA ACLS Certification required (Queens only)
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience in acute or post-acute setting
• Recent clinical experience within the past year required
• Home health patient care experience required
• Strong skills in assessment, medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and telemetry monitoring
• Strong English communication skills (speaking, reading, writing)

Preferred Qualifications:

• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Strong patient education and care coordination skills
