Job Title: Virtual Care Coordinator
Location: New York, NY 10017
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25 – $27 per hour (W2)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Virtual Care Coordinator to support telehealth and remote patient care operations within a dynamic healthcare system. The coordinator will play a key role in ensuring patient safety, high-quality virtual care delivery, and smooth telemedicine workflow management. This position involves collaboration with clinical teams, leadership, and technology partners to enhance the efficiency and performance of virtual healthcare programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform quality assurance reviews and evaluate telehealth and virtual observation programs.
Collaborate with leadership to develop workflows, policies, and quality improvement strategies.
Conduct regular meetings with management to discuss metrics, provide feedback, and recommend improvements.
Assign and triage cases for virtual monitoring and observation.
Manage operational databases for telehealth and remote monitoring performance metrics.
Identify trends and assist in implementing corrective action plans.
Train new staff on telehealth workflows, platform use, and documentation standards.
Act as a liaison between clinical staff, technology vendors, and telehealth partners.
Provide real-time troubleshooting and support for telehealth platform issues.
Observe assigned patients remotely to detect changes in behavior or clinical status.
Escalate safety or behavioral concerns to the registered nurse or supervising clinician.
Document interventions, incidents, and safety events accurately in accordance with policy.
Monitor telehealth consults, ensuring sessions start and complete on schedule.
Maintain patient confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and data integrity.
Participate in team meetings, maintain punctual attendance, and follow departmental protocols.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong ability to navigate multiple telehealth technology platforms.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in real-time patient observation and identifying early clinical warning signs.
Capable of analyzing utilization data, program performance, and workflow outcomes.
Knowledge of telehealth technologies, EMR systems, and HIPAA regulations.
Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality “white glove” service to patients and providers.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of direct patient care experience required.
Experience in telehealth program implementation, quality monitoring, or remote patient observation preferred.
Proven background in developing telehealth workflows and data-driven process improvements.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and communicating clinical findings effectively.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations, patient safety standards, and virtual care protocols.
