We are looking for an exceptional Floor Manager to join our leadership team and help drive our distinct brand of warm, authentic hospitality.
We are seeking a polished, service-driven hospitality professional who thrives in a dynamic, boutique environment and is passionate about delivering elevated guest experiences while developing a tight-knit, high-performing team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who leads from the floor, sets a sparkling tone for service, and operates with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. You will work cross functionally across both our shop and restaurant, leading retail and restaurant teams.
The RoleAs Floor Manager, you are responsible for the overall front-of-house experience and daily operations of Champers Social Club. You will lead service from the floor, ensuring seamless execution from open to close, while cultivating a culture rooted in genuine warmth, neighborhood community, and aesthetic excellence.
This role is highly visible and requires a leader who is engaged, stylish, and poised under pressure, with the ability to inspire a dedicated team and elevate every single touchpoint of the guest journey.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service Leadership
- Brand Ambassadorship: Champion a hospitality-first approach, ensuring every guest receives warm, attentive, and personalized service aligned with our chic brand identity.
- Floor Presence: Lead the dining room and bar area during service, maintaining a constant, impactful, and welcoming presence on the floor.
- Service Standards: Uphold and refine our high-touch service standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Guest Relations: Cultivate relationships with regulars and VIPs, addressing guest feedback and resolving concerns with professionalism, grace, and care.
- Team Building: Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a high-performing FOH team that reflects the energy and hospitality of Champers Social Club.
- Culture Curator: Foster a culture of accountability, growth, and mutual respect through continuous coaching and real-time development.
- Lead by Example: Demonstrate impeccable professionalism, product knowledge, and adherence to company standards at all times.
- Staff Management: Support management team in day to day of FOH scheduling, ongoing performance evaluations, and department oversight.
- Daily Management: Direct all day-to-day front-of-house operations, including rigorous opening and closing procedures.
- Reservations & Flow: Optimize reservation platforms (Resy) and seating strategies to balance floor flow, enhance guest experience, and maximize revenue.
- Floor Strategy: Execute effective floor plans, section assignments, and staffing strategies adjusted for daily volume.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor business trends, drive sales, and maintain cost controls while overseeing financial procedures like daily cash handling and reconciliation.
- Health & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation standards (NYC Department of Health guidelines).
- Inventory & Beverage: Support inventory processes and collaborate closely on our specialized champagne, wine, and cocktail programs.
- Tech Proficiency: Utilize POS systems, reservation platforms, and administrative reporting tools with accuracy and efficiency.
- Experience: 2–3+ years of restaurant management experience in a fast-paced, upscale, beverage-forward, or premium casual environment in New York City.
- Hospitality Mindset: A refined, flexible approach to hospitality with an eye for style, design, and detail.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and retain a hospitality team in a high-energy setting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal problem-solving skills.
- Product Passion: Strong foundational knowledge of wine, champagne, and curated cocktails is highly preferred.
- Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in restaurant systems (OpenTable/Resy, Toast POS, Excel, and team scheduling platforms).
- Credentials: NYC Food Protection Certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
