Assistant General Manager

As the Assistant General Manager, you will partner closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, coach and inspire the team, and ensure every guest receives an outstanding experience from the moment they walk through the door.

What You'll Do

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, motivate, and inspire the team through hands-on leadership and positive coaching.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to achieve excellence in hospitality and performance.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Hold the team to high standards while creating an environment where people feel supported and empowered.
Service Excellence
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of all Steps of Service and ensure flawless execution every shift.
  • Maintain exceptional service standards through consistent coaching, observation, and feedback.
  • Lead by example on the floor, ensuring every guest receives warm, genuine, and attentive hospitality.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate the guest experience and resolve concerns with professionalism and urgency.
Operations & Administration
  • Assist the General Manager with daily administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, inventory, reporting, cash handling, labor management, and operational documentation.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and team development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health regulations, and safety standards.
  • Help drive operational efficiency while maintaining the highest level of hospitality.
Creating the Atmosphere
  • Understand that great restaurants offer more than food—they create memorable experiences.
  • Set the energy for every shift by ensuring the environment reflects the brand's standards, from music and lighting to cleanliness, pace, and guest interactions.
  • Create an atmosphere where guests feel welcomed, valued, and eager to return.
  • Inspire the team to bring passion, enthusiasm, and consistency to every service.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous leadership experience in hospitality, restaurant, or hotel management.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and front-of-house service.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Steps of Service and the ability to coach others effectively.
  • A passion for true hospitality and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
  • High personal standards with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform under pressure.
  • A positive attitude with the confidence to lead from the front.
  • Commitment to building a culture rooted in respect, accountability, and excellence.

PTO: 80 hours annually, prorated based on start date. PTO can be used after the 90-day probation period and does not roll over.
