Mid/Senior-Level IP Litigation Associate
We are seeking a highly motivated litigation associate to join our Intellectual Property practice group in New York or Chicago. Ideal candidates should have 4-7 years of experience at a law firm, with a strong track record handling all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation counseling and claim assessment through discovery and trial. Responsibilities will include all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, including large e-discovery projects, taking and defending depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation. Candidates will be expected to focus on intellectual property litigation relating to trademark, copyright, trade secrets and patent disputes, but we will consider candidates with a strong federal court commercial litigation background, who are interested in focusing on technology and intellectual property disputes.
Candidates must also excel at research and writing, possess a strong analytical ability, and thrive in highly collaborative, global team environments. Candidates must possess top academic credentials and be admitted to, able to waive into, or a member in good standing of the NY or IL Bar to apply. - The US base compensation for this position is expected to be $310,000 to $435,000 annually if located in an office in the state of Illinois or New York. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
