responsibilities:
Responsibilities

• Lead and Mentor: Guide a growing, highly motivated team of junior and mid-level software engineers through hands-on coaching, performance feedback, and structured career development.
• Establish Process Maturity: Bring structure, predictability, and standard operating procedures to an evolving, fast-paced startup environment to optimize delivery execution.
• Partner with Product & Design: Collaborate closely with cross-functional leadership to define technical scope, project timelines, and platform feature strategies.
• Drive Architecture & Delivery: Guide full-stack technical decisions and maintain a high-quality code bar across AWS, TypeScript, and React ecosystems.
• Scale the Team: Actively participate in hiring, onboarding, and interviewing to help scale the engineering organization from 37 to 50+ members this year.

qualifications:
Qualifications

Must-Haves

Proven Leadership: Minimum of 2-3 years of direct engineering management experience leading software development teams.

Technical Foundations: Strong background in full-stack development, specifically using TypeScript and React.

Scale & Structure Experience: Proven track record of bringing operational maturity, process improvement, and structure to early-stage, high-growth, or chaotic engineering environments.

Location: Ability to work on-site at the collaborative corporate office located in Soho, New York City.

Nice-to-Haves

Data & AI Ecosystems: Familiarity or exposure to Python for machine learning and data applications.

Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience deploying and managing services within Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Domain Knowledge: Prior experience building financial systems automation, billing platforms, revenue reconciliation software, or contract-to-cash applications.
