Veterinary Technician, Surgery / Internal Medicine / Emergency (CVT/LVT/RVT Required) | $28-$40/hr + Shift Differentials | Full-Time Benefits | Three 12-Hour Shifts or Four 10-Hour Shifts | Yonkers, NY

Animal Specialty Center (ASC) is hiring Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs, CVTs, and RVTs) for our Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Emergency departments in Yonkers, NY.
Compensation ranges from $28-$40/hour based on department, experience, and skills assessment, plus lucrative shift differentials.

Shift Differentials:

• Weekend Differential (Saturday 12:00 AM – Sunday 11:59 PM)
  • Licensed Veterinary Technicians: +$4/hour
  • Non-Licensed Team Members: +$2/hour
• Overnight Differential (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Licensed Veterinary Technicians: +$6/hour
  • Non-Licensed Team Members: +$3/hour
• Weekend and overnight differentials stack for additional earning potential

Schedule

• Emergency Department: Three 12-hour day shifts
• Surgery: Three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts
• Internal Medicine : TBD

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to hospitalized and critical patients
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical and diagnostic procedures
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory diagnostics, and sample collection
• Obtain diagnostic imaging including radiographs
• Monitor and document patient status, treatments, and responses
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and advanced procedures
• Communicate effectively with clients and hospital team members
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Support high-quality patient care in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment
• Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless patient care

Qualifications

• Active CVT, LVT, or RVT credential (or eligibility for licensure) in New York State
• Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician in specialty, emergency, or general practice preferred
• Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, and laboratory procedures
• Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced veterinary environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude with a commitment to patient care and professional growth
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
