Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2430–$2490

ER RN Job Details

• Location: Utica, NY 13502 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 2, 2025 – November 30, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour evenings (2:30pm – 3:00am)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Employment Type: Locum tenens, travel nursing contract
• Unit: Emergency Department (64 beds: trauma, acute, super track, CDU, psych)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license (NURSYS verification required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience (including pediatric care)
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Experience with EPIC EMR required
• 2 recent ED Charge/Manager RN references
• Skills checklist matching emergency nursing specialty
• Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Required scrub color: Navy Blue

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages (newborn through geriatric)
• Respond to emergencies including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Operate specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Float to other hospital units as required
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC EMR system
• Perform charge nurse duties if qualified
