Job Title: Patient Care Associate (PCA) – Psychiatry

Location: New York, NY 10025

Shift: Evening (3:00 PM – 11:15 PM) or Night (11:00 PM – 7:15 AM)

Duration: 9 Weeks

Pay: $1,050/week (Local)

Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Patient Care Associate (PCA) to provide direct care and support to patients in an inpatient psychiatry unit. The PCA will assist with patient admissions, daily care, therapeutic activities, and crisis interventions under the supervision of the nursing team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient admission, orientation, hygiene, and daily care.

• Take vital signs, collect specimens, and perform EKGs.

• Support and implement care and treatment plans.

• Lead or assist in therapeutic/recreational group activities.

• Escort patients to tests, treatments, and court as needed.

• Assist with discharge planning and family communication.

• Respond to emergencies, perform CPR, and assist with restraints per policy.

• Maintain infection control and a safe environment.

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or related settings.

• Venipuncture and EKG experience required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s in Mental Health preferred).

• Certifications: BLS (AHA), Medical Assistant Training Certificate, CPI or PMCS (mandatory).
