Education Director
Overview
A new Bilingual Preschool in Fort Greene Brooklyn is looking for an Education Director to lead and shape the educational strategies of our organization. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs that inspire learning and promote academic excellence. Your leadership will drive the organization’s mission to deliver impactful education experiences, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and community needs.
Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans to enhance educational programs and initiatives.
- Lead a team of educators, administrators, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Oversee curriculum development, instructional quality, and assessment standards to ensure excellence in teaching and learning.
- Monitor program outcomes through data analysis and feedback mechanisms; implement continuous improvements based on insights.
- Ensure compliance with all DOH and DOE standards and regulations
- Planning and hosting community outreach events and parent workshops
Requirements
- Master’s degree in early childhood education
- NY State B-2nd Teaching Certification
- Proven experience in education administration or leadership roles in preschool
- Demonstrated management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams
- Knowledge of curriculum design, instructional methodologies, and assessment practices.
- Fluency in French or Spanish is a plus but is not required
