• Oversee and ensure the condition of the facilities spaces within Center for Imaging Science building.
• Ensure all safety issues within said spaces are addressed as well as items that need to be coordinated with FMS. Administrator for the CIS infractions to ensure these are forwarded and addressed.
• Manage and process all requests in relation to upgrades involving projects, telecommunications, A/V signage as requested by the CIS Faculty and Staff.
• Ensure all fire extinguishers, first aid and spill kits, eye wash, safety showers are inspected for proper operation and ensure necessary repairs or changes are made to bring them up to spec as required either by EH&S, FMS or the College entities.
• Operate the Card Swipe system for the building.
• Provide assistance to faculty in the preparation and use of instructional equipment.
• Conduct annual equipment inventory.
• Manage the equipment stockroom, including hiring and scheduling of student employees, repair or replacement of broken equipment as required, checking out and tracking of equipment, purchase of new equipment as required, in conjunction with CIS faculty, develop plans for laboratory equipment upgrades, etc.
• Train student employees in general preparation of laboratory setups used in the undergraduate labs. Coordinate students in the cleaning and maintenance of the Department's instructional laboratory areas
• Prepare, set-up, store, maintain, and repair instrumentation and support equipment used in the Department's instructional laboratories and classrooms, including demonstration equipment. Act as the primary technical support for the department's research laboratories.
• Provide audiovisual support for Center events. Provide technical support for individuals using audiovisual equipment in the Center facilities, as required.

Department/College Description Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in a laboratory setting.
• Experience with laboratory set-up and preparation, ability to track, inventory, and maintain equipment
• Extremely well-organized and detail oriented
• Self-motivated and able to work independently to manage and prioritize multiple demands.
• Ability to use and learn technology and software applications to complete tasks.
• Mechanically inclined and creative problem solver.
• Able to perform physical activities such as walking or standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Experience with MS Office, and Google suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
