Pay: $185,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year

Location: On-site in Manhattan, NY. You’ll work from a centrally located New York City office, easily commutable from Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, and nearby cities like Jersey City and Newark via public transit.

Note: You must be licensed to practice law in New York, have solid civil litigation experience (ideally including discovery, motion practice, and depositions), and be able to work on-site full-time in Manhattan with occasional travel.

Job Description

• Serve as a Senior Associate Attorney handling wage-and-hour, employment, and consumer class and representative actions in New York state and federal courts
• Lead and manage all phases of complex civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation
• Draft, edit, and argue substantive motions, including dispositive and class-related motions, in state and federal courts
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, fact witnesses, and experts, and prepare clients and witnesses for testimony
• Develop and execute litigation strategy in collaboration with firm leadership and junior team members
• Appear in court regularly for hearings, conferences, and other proceedings, representing clients with confidence and professionalism
• Mentor and support junior attorneys and staff, helping to build a strong New York practice and office culture
• Travel occasionally for hearings, depositions, mediations, and firm-related needs

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York (NY Bar in good standing required)
• Several years of civil litigation experience, preferably 5+ years, including discovery, motion practice, and taking/defending depositions
• Prior experience with class actions, complex litigation, and/or wage-and-hour/employment cases strongly preferred
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail
• Proven ability to independently manage complex cases and a busy litigation calendar
• Professional, steady work history and strong client-facing skills
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and an interest in helping build and grow a high-performing New York office
