About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The RN will provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting, with a strong focus on cardiac monitoring and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg and Telemetry environment
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias
- Respond to rapid response and code situations
- Administer IV therapy and perform phlebotomy as needed
- Administer blood products safely and monitor for reactions
- Manage peripheral IV lines and ensure proper line care
- Provide oxygen therapy including nasal cannula and oxygen tank management
- Assist with non-invasive airway management
- Follow isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols
- Perform wound care and manage wound vac systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry experience
- Strong experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Current ACLS certification (Required)
- Current BLS certification (Required)
- Experience with IV therapy and blood product administration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
