PHP Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled full-time, in-house Backend Web Developer to join our team and support an established eCommerce website. This role involves developing new features, refactoring legacy code, debugging, and maintaining performance on a live production site.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend functionality using PHP, PDO, and MySQL
• Optimize existing codebase and markup for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with internal teams to plan and deliver high-quality features
• Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery
• Write clean, well-documented, and secure code
• Integrate with third-party REST APIs and external libraries

Required Qualifications:

• Proficient in LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
• Expert knowledge of PHP and PDO
• Deep understanding of MySQL , including Views and Triggers
• Experience using xDebug for debugging
• Strong understanding of cURL
• Experience using Git
• Familiarity with third-party libraries and integrations
• Solid experience with jQuery and jQuery AJAX
• Proven eCommerce development experience is required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
