Senior Optics Technician (Laser Systems)

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking a Senior Optics Technician to support laser-based research, development, and processing activities in a laboratory environment. This role is ideal for an experienced technician with strong hands-on laser systems experience and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Job Title: Senior Optics Technician (Laser Systems)

Location: Corning, NY

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Corning, NY

Pay Rate: $44.85 - $47.85 Depending on experience.

Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Education: Associate's degree preferred, but not required

Key Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory experiments using sound scientific methods; collect and document data

• Support design, development, and continuous improvement of laser-based processes

• Maintain, assemble, debug, and support laser system setups and upgrades

• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and internal customers to deliver sample parts on schedule

• Maintain lab safety, cleanliness, documentation, and inventory

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a laboratory environment executing experiments

• Hands-on experience with laser systems and mechanical troubleshooting

• Solid understanding of engineering and scientific principles

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills

• Commitment to lab safety, documentation, and process discipline

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Teams)
