Senior Litigation Associate

Sadis & Goldberg seeks an ambitious Senior Litigation Associate (with 5-9 years of work experience) who is interested getting more responsibility, having a better chance at making Partner, and building a career in cutting-edge securities and business divorce litigation. We are a boutique litigation practice specializing in representing hedge funds, private equity funds, and other sophisticated investors in high-stakes litigation. We leanly staff our cases. This means that associates quickly get first-chair responsibility in depositions, arguing motions, and handling witnesses. This also means mid-level and senior associates have an very good chance at making partner.

We are looking for an associate interested in better opportunities for first-chair experience and a much better chance at making Partner. The ideal associate will be interested in building a career in Litigation, and looking for better opportunities to learn than at a big firm. The ideal candidate will be (i) experienced in, and/or able to manage discovery, (ii) ready to take and defend depositions, and (iii) prepared for courtroom experience within a year.

We take an entrepreneurial approach to litigation, which involves frequently serving as both plaintiff and defense counsel. We draw on our expertise in securities law, investment litigation, and business disputes to handle cases efficiently, and to maximize results for our clients.

At least five years of litigation experience, a J.D. and admission to the New York bar is required. The ideal candidate will be someone who is looking to develop him- or her-self as a lawyer by taking initiative, being a self-starter, and demonstrating the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines. Total competition is competitive for firms of similar size and sophistication in New York City, and for the right candidate is competitive with a BigLaw salary. xrczosw The salary will be in the range of $250,000-$325,000, depending on experience.
