• We are hiring immediately for a part time PHYSICAL THERAPY AIDE position.

Job Summary

Summary:
Utilizes proper body mechanics to assist patients in and out of the bed and/or chair. Provides support while walking patients for a designated period of time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Walks with patients based on physician’s orders.
• Applies body mechanics, transfer techniques, and use of assistive devices as needed to assist a patient walk in the facility for a designated period based on the clinical care plan.
• Adhere to daily schedule for patient ambulation.
• Adhere to safety protocols when patient has been identified by medical personnel as a fall risk.
• Completes any required documentation regarding ambulation for patient’s medical records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
