JOB TITLE : Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN
CLASSIFICATION : Full Time, Non-Exempt
PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Central Nursing
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Nursing Support Manager
**This position is located in Niagara County **
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides medical care to the people we serve by performing skilled nursing duties; guiding and assisting direct support staff in the provision of medical services and performing other nursing related duties as directed. Provides medical care, training, guidance and assistance to direct support staff in monitoring health, documenting medical services/outcomes, and implementing medication administration, exercise programs, and other prescribed services. Monitors and documents outcomes based on goals accurately; provides direction and feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education, Training & Experience:
Current NYS LPN license
One (1) year LPN experience
Preferred Education, Training & Experience:
Experience working with people with either developmental disabilities
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Valid New York State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record is required
Ability to work flexible hours
Ability to demonstrate a high level of empathy and sensitivity to the needs of the people we serve
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability and willingness to provide effective instruction and demonstration to staff
Ability to work effectively without direct supervision
Ability to develop meaningful relationships with team mates and work cooperatively with others
Ability to obtain and maintain CPI certification
SALARY:$23.92- $27.04 per hour starting rate depending on years licensed
$5,000 sign on bonus paid over 2 years
SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
