Facilities Assistant - Part Time

Join a global leader in steel manufacturing as a part-time Facilities Assistant (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) with the flexibility to work additional days as needed.
**Job Summary:**
We are looking for a motivated Part-Time Facilities Assistant for a contract role to support our facilities management team, including mailroom, pantry, conference room operations, basic facility cleaning and maintenance, and other Facilities-related tasks.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
**Key Responsibilities:**- Support end users with visitor registration and intake, add employees, subtenants, and external guests into the internal database.
• Provide the general day-to-day upkeep of the HQ facility
- Upkeep of the restrooms, ensuring they are stocked and that trash receptacles are emptied. General upkeep of other common areas, pantries, and collaboration areas.
• Manage and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation and inventory of the office, including stationery, equipment, pantry supplies, and share updates regularly with the Facilities & Office Services Manager.
• Escort contractors and vendors around the office space while on-site.
• Maintain office, conference rooms, and staff areas to a high standard; conduct daily walkthroughs and remediate issues promptly.
• Assist with setups and resets for large conferences/meetings as needed, including room setup, furniture moves, signage, catering support, staging, audio visual support, and resets (including lifting/moves as needed).
• Support internal events with set-up, breakdown, and special furniture arrangements as needed.
• Assisting the REM Team to investigate, analyze, and determine whether to escalate facilities issues to the Facilities and Office Services Manager.
• Support Facilities Assistant as needed with package room operations, including carrier and courier shipment processing, inspections, guidance for end users, deliveries, and processing outgoing items. Troubleshoot specific requests as needed with end users.
• Support REM with on-site projects to improve and maintain the office environment, which may include flexible hours and weekends.
• Coordinate with REM team to ensure NAAVA maintenance and proper service is rendered.
- Maintain storage areas in a neat, organized manner.
Minimum Education Requirements: Associate's degree and/or equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience: At least one to two years of relevant experience, with real estate and hospitality experience a plus.
Must be able to pick up heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
