Global Placement Firm is conducting a confidential search for Senior Full Stack Software Engineers to join a rapidly growing AI healthcare technology company transforming the way hospitals recruit and hire clinical talent.

This is a high-ownership, backend-leaning full-stack engineering opportunity for a developer who enjoys building from the ground up, working across the entire technology stack, and seeing their work move quickly from development into production.

The ideal candidate has experience in both an early-stage, VC-backed startup and a larger technology organization , bringing strong engineering practices while maintaining the flexibility and speed required in a startup environment.

Position Overview

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will own and deliver greenfield projects spanning backend development, infrastructure, and frontend applications .

You'll help build and scale AI-powered products that automate the healthcare recruiting lifecycle—from candidate sourcing and screening through credentialing, hiring, and onboarding.

The platform is already handling thousands of candidate interactions each month and is being built to scale to millions. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-throughput systems, AI applications, distributed infrastructure, and user-facing products while working closely with engineering leadership and the founding team.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and deliver greenfield software projects across the full technology stack.
• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain backend services, infrastructure, and frontend applications.
• Develop scalable systems capable of supporting growth from thousands to millions of candidate interactions.
• Build end-to-end features in a TypeScript-first development environment .
• Work extensively with serverless AWS infrastructure and modern cloud technologies.
• Develop and scale high-throughput and distributed systems designed for reliability and performance.
• Build and deploy AI-powered applications , including systems leveraging LLMs and machine learning technologies.
• Establish and improve observability, monitoring, reliability, and production engineering practices.
• Collaborate directly with the Director of Engineering and founding team on product architecture and technical strategy.
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy and take ownership of projects from concept through production.
• Help establish engineering standards, development practices, and technical culture as an early member of the engineering organization.
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs and make pragmatic decisions in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Continuously improve existing systems as the platform scales and product requirements evolve.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience .
• Strong foundation in Python and modern software engineering principles.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript across the stack , including frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Experience building and scaling high-throughput and distributed systems in production.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, reliability, and mission-critical systems.
• At least 2 years of experience working at an early-stage, VC-backed startup .
• Experience working at a larger technology company, major technology organization, or highly regarded technology startup.
• Experience building and deploying AI applications , including LLM-powered products, AI agents, or machine learning pipelines.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS and serverless architectures .
• Experience taking products from initial concept through production deployment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.

Work Environment

Engineers are expected to be highly collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable taking ownership beyond narrowly defined technical assignments.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $180,000 – $220,000 annually
Equity: Competitive equity package

Candidates must be based in or able to work from New York City and comfortable with the required in-office schedule.
