Community sales manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic, community-focused Studio Manager to lead our Scarsdale team and oversee the daily operations of our studio. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fitness, sales, and people management, along with an ability to stay calm and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, working alongside our staff to ensure that our studio meets its targets while providing an exceptional member experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Sales Duties

  • Execute a successful pre-sale strategy, ensuring a successful launch and strong base of founding members.
  • Manage and track leads, trials, and membership conversions in accordance with KPI metric goals.
  • Ensure the studio maintains a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and equipment maintenance.
  • Manage studio email, virtual communications, and member inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Open and close the studio, including setup and breakdown duties.

Coaching & Member Engagement

  • Coach 12-16 classes per week, with flexibility to coach more depending on coverage needs.
  • Develop relationships with members to foster a strong community and drive member retention.
  • Clearly explain FS8 programming and membership experience to prospective members.
  • Work closely with the social media and marketing team to support marketing initiatives.

Staff Leadership & Development

  • Hire, develop, and oversee studio staff, including Trainers and Front of House, alongside the District Manager and Head Trainer.
  • Manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all classes.
  • Host regular staff meetings to maintain a high standard of operations and communication; maintain clear and open lines of communication.
  • Communicate consistently with staff regarding studio updates, program/athletics changes, and member trial/conversion data.

Community & Business Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community organizations to bolster B2B partnerships.
  • Represent FS8 in the community to enhance brand awareness and drive studio growth.

Requirements & Expectations:

  • Prior experience in a leadership role within the fitness industry preferred.
  • Experience in Pilates and group fitness.
  • Experience with Mindbody Business software.
  • Strong sales acumen with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding KPIs.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Current CPR/AED certification and weekend availability required.
