Data Entry Clerk
- Transferring information from digital files (PDFs, spreadsheets) into computer systems or databases.
- Cross-checking entered data against source documents to detect and correct errors, ensuring 99%+ accuracy.
- Navigating differences in case numbering conventions, filing systems, and docket structures across federal courts, state courts, and various jurisdictions.
- Updating existing records with new information and comparing updated information for changes.
- Organizing and archiving digital documents after entry to optimize retrieval.
- Generating summaries, lists, or periodic reports based on the entered data for managers or other departments.
- Adhering to data privacy regulations and company security protocols when handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Experience with case management systems or databases preferred.
- Familiarity with federal/state court systems, case and docket numbering conventions, and tools like PACER, CourtLink, or LexMachin preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on repetitive tasks.
