Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Pay Rate: $20–$25 per hour
Shifts Available: 1st and 2nd Shift

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician to join our clients growing manufacturing team. This position is open to candidates of all experience levels who are eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced production environment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance, equipment upkeep, and safe forklift operation to support smooth plant operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to minimize downtime.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components as needed.

• Operate a forklift safely to move materials, parts, and equipment.

• Assist in equipment installations and basic facility maintenance.

• Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and support production needs.

Qualifications:

• Prior maintenance or manufacturing experience preferred, but not required (willing to train).

• Must have forklift operating experience and certification (or ability to become certified).

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn preventative maintenance practices.

• Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and maintenance procedures.

• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, climb ladders, and perform hands-on tasks.

• Flexibility to work 1st or 2nd shift, with occasional overtime as needed.

Physical Demands:

• Work in a variety of conditions (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold, noisy environments).

• Ability to stand, walk, or kneel for extended periods.

• Safely operate forklifts and hand tools.
