PLC ELECTRO MECHANIC TECHNICIAN

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our production team in Bayshore, NY. We are looking for a skilled professional with a background in automated systems and high-speed machinery to ensure our facility operates at peak efficiency.

As an Electro-Mechanical Tech, you will be the frontline support for our high-speed pharmaceutical packaging and production lines. You will leverage your expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize complex equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Required Experience & Skills

• Industry Background: Proven experience working in pharmaceutical packaging or production environments.

• Electrical Mastery: Deep understanding of electrical control systems, circuitry, and PLC logic.

• Mechanical Expertise: proficiency in pneumatic systems, gearboxes, and high-speed moving parts.

• Efficiency: Ability to work independently under pressure to restore production flow during critical breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical failures on production equipment (pill counters, cappers, induction sealers, and labelers).

• PLC Systems: Perform advanced troubleshooting and monitoring of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to maintain automated line sequences.

• Maintenance & Optimization: Execute rigorous preventive maintenance schedules and recommend equipment upgrades to improve throughput.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all repairs and documentation meet strict pharmaceutical cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety requirements.
