Project Manager

The Project Manager will support all day-to-day operations by working directly with subcontractors and customers to deliver energy savings in a timely and safe manner. The ideal candidate will have a relevant four-year college degree with experience in a full range of business processes with an eye toward process optimization and process improvement. He/she will also have past project management experience in an engineering or construction-oriented setting.

• Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Manage project intake, communicate with contractors about project pipelines and shepherd projects from initial engagement through final payment.
• Review pre- and post-inspections of energy efficiency projects.
• Assemble bid packages, support contractor and equipment vendor selection or bidding, and prepare comparative analyses of bids received.
• Track and manage projects using Willdan’s proprietary data management software
• Gather and review project documentation.
• Administer and ensure compliance with hazardous waste rules and lamp disposal/recycling of products
• Monitor program tasks, reporting and follow-up on progress and achievements.
• Communicate directly with internal staff, contractors, and customers.
• Engagement in all areas critical to program success.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of experience in energy efficiency or project management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and work collaboratively with other Willdan staff.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage projects from inception to close while maintaining strong customer service practices and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of software tools, such as, spreadsheets, project management programs, word processing, presentation and workflow programs, and program tracking tools and techniques.
• Valid driver’s license is required. Working at customer sites is anticipated.
• Knowledge of energy saving lighting, HVAC and refrigeration measures preferred.
• CEM, CEA, LEED AP, or another relevant industry credential is a plus.
