Job Summary

A leading commercial HVAC and building automation contractor is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Technician to join its growing service team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician with strong troubleshooting abilities and experience working in commercial, institutional, and mission-critical environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience servicing complex HVAC systems, performing advanced diagnostics, and supporting building automation/control systems across a wide range of commercial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC equipment including:
• Chillers
• Boilers
• RTUs
• VAV systems
• Hydronic systems
• Pumps and associated mechanical equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service calls
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues
• Interface with building automation systems (BAS/BMS)
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and control sequences
• Communicate professionally with customers, facility managers, and project teams
• Complete service documentation and reports accurately
• Support start-ups, commissioning, and system optimization activities
• Mentor junior technicians when needed
• Maintain a high standard of safety and professionalism at all times

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with BAS/BMS controls preferred
• Ability to work independently in the field
• EPA Certification required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
• Experience in hospitals, laboratories, data centers, or institutional facilities is a plus
