Located in the heart of SoHo, Momoya SoHo is a well-established Japanese restaurant known for its refined approach to traditional and contemporary Japanese cuisine. For over a decade, we have been dedicated to providing exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and an elevated dining experience.

We are currently seeking an experienced Maître d' to join our front-of-house leadership team. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys creating memorable guest experiences, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.

• Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism

• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating using Resy and SevenRooms

• Coordinate seating to maximize guest flow and dining room efficiency

• Lead and support the host team during service

• Communicate effectively with managers, servers, and the kitchen

• Handle guest requests, VIP reservations, and service recovery with professionalism

• Ensure the entrance and host stand remain organized, clean, and welcoming

• Uphold Momoya's standards of hospitality and guest service

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maître d' or Host in a high-volume restaurant

• Experience using Resy and/or SevenRooms preferred

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Professional appearance and polished demeanor

• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure

• Weekend and evening availability required

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
