Solution Architecture (AI Solutions)

This role is hybrid (3 days in the office with Mondays & Fridays working remote)
The Solution Architect role will report into our DevOps Center for Enablement (C4E) working on emerging technologies that deliver a high degree of business value ( AI based solutions, advanced automation, advanced data processing, management ). As part of a diverse technical team, you will gain deep knowledge of our various business domains to understand the problems/opportunities, overall experience considerations, and business outcomes to develop innovative solutions aligning to enterprise standards, patterns and best practices while redefining boundaries to advance our leadership position.
Main responsibilities include:
- Leads the design of the end-to-end solution architecture including the creation of current, transitional, and future state views aligning to enterprise standards, and patterns, new solution choices/decisions.
- Define and manage reference architectures as required.
- Takes calculated solution risks to create innovative solutions that drive exceptional experiences and operational capabilities in an accelerated manner.
- Works with delivery teams to resolve technical impediments and other delivery challenges balancing speed to market and incurring of technical debt.
- Runs pilots with nascent, emerging, and proven technologies to create new solutions, services, reusable assets and integrates the best of these into steady-state operations for the organization
- Collaborates with delivery teams to ensure consistency with the enterprise architecture (Enterprise Assurance), as well as to leverage shared technologies, tools and processes that impact speed to value.
- Ability to work collaboratively with platform architects and engineers to drive efficient and cost-effective solutions that are scalable.
- Ability to continually adapt and improve in solution design and implementation, and ways of working.
- Provides leadership and direction in meeting and exceeding Technology goals.
- Builds strong relationships across Technology Enablement teams (security, cloud, data) and business teams.
- Effectively communicates across various audiences to ensure solution alignment; appropriate level of debate and challenge to drive best fit.
- Continually research and be abreast with emerging technologies and Gen AI models, Incorporate strategic elements in future designs
Required Qualifications:
- Master's or bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or combined job experience and certifications in lieu of college degrees is also acceptable
- Eight or more years of technical design and implementation or experience as an enterprise architecture consultant or in a software engineering or development role
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, DevOps and CI/CD
- Good knowledge of Infrastructure as code e.g. Terraform
- Experience in Cloud computing, preferably with Azure or AWS
- In-dept understanding of architectural patterns, principles, and frameworks
- Strong technical background in key technology stacks ; application platforms, infrastructure, database storage and streaming, APIs and Microservices
- Knowledgeable in GenAI models, prompt engineering
- Hands-on technical implementation experience
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to see the connections between layers of business operations
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in end-to-end AI solutions such as vector databases, data preprocessing and ingestion along with AI development and deployment platforms
- Experience implementing enterprise platforms such as content management, low code platforms, app builders
- Knowledgeable in security protocols
- Preferred financial industry experience
