Microsoft Developer - C#

Top Tier Global Investment banking firm with an office on Long Island NY, seeks a Microsoft Developer with solid expereince in C#/.Net, VB.NET , SQL and Microsoft Blazor. As a Microsoft Developer specializing in C#, you will play a crucial role in backend development, database management, and crafting seamless user interfaces. Required Skills:

• Strong experience with C# and modern .NET frameworks, as well as relevant legacy frameworks.
• Working knowledge of VB.NET for maintaining and extending existing systems.
• Experience building modern UIs with Microsoft Blazor (Server-side only)
• Strong HTML/CSS fundamentals and practical experience with Bootstrap for responsive, mobile-friendly design
• Solid understanding of application architecture, APIs, and service-oriented design.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including relational database design, normalization, indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures.
• Emphasis on code quality through thorough testing, including unit tests, integration tests, and regression tests.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with DevExpress toolkits and reporting.
• Exposure to or enthusiasm for “vibe coding,” combining technical rigor with creativity and collaboration.
• Prior experience in or supporting investment banking/financial services environments where reliability, security, and data integrity are crucial.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar development role, particularly with backend and frontend technologies.

Other Requirements:

• Comfort with debugging, performance-tuning, and problem-solving.
• Ability to work in existing codebases while also contributing to new development projects.

The role is based in Huntington, Long Island. This is an opportunity to work for a top Investment bank without having to commute to the city. You get to work closely with the business while working in a small team where you get a chance to make a big impact.

Compensation is a range between 130- 150k base plus a good bonus and full benefits. This is a permanent full-time role, consultants should not apply. The client cannot sponsor at this time so they will only consider Green Card Holders and US Citizens.
