To drive the design and development of Polo Men's knitwear within the World of Sports and Special Projects division, creating versatile, brand-right product that blends a modern active sport lifestyle with Ralph Lauren heritage. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Conduct ongoing market research, including competitive shopping, trend analysis, and digital landscape insights to inform design direction.
* Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Polo Men's customer and the Ralph Lauren brand identity, translating this into designs that evolve a modern, active lifestyle while honoring heritage.
* Create and maintain all design-related materials, including CADs, line sheets, flat sketches, artwork layouts, trims, and technical specifications.
* Develop seasonal design concepts and present clear, compelling design narratives to senior management.
* Design and execute logos and graphics across formats, including prints, embroidery, patches, and all-over executions.
* Partner closely with Graphic and Print teams to develop and realize seasonal print concepts aligned with the broader collection vision.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Product Development, and global partners to align on design, color, cost, and market relevance.
* Maintain daily communication with overseas development teams and vendors to ensure timely execution and alignment.
* Work closely with Product Development to ensure all tech packs are accurate and design intent is clearly communicated.
* Participate in fittings to uphold design integrity, ensuring aesthetic, proportion, and fit are consistent with brand standards.
* Partner with the Polo Men's Knits team on design development and fabric innovation to ensure cohesion across categories. Experience, Skills & Knowledge * Degree in Fashion Design or a related subjects preferred
* Relevant industry experience required; knitwear experience is a plus.
* Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; working knowledge of PowerPoint.
* Familiarity with AI-supported design tools and openness to integrating emerging technologies into the creative process.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
* Experience working within PLM systems to manage design and development workflows.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
* Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach and strong sense of ownership.
* Experience with or exposure to 3D design platforms (e.g., Browzwear) is a plus. #LI-CE1
