CTO
Job Description
Job Description
The employer is a funded, early-stage venture developing an AI-enabled healthcare payments application designed to improve how healthcare organizations manage payment, claims, and revenue-cycle workflows.
The company improves complex financial workflows across the healthcare ecosystem, including provider-payer payment processes, claims workflows, revenue cycle operations, payment reconciliation, denials, and administrative automation.
Their platform uses AI, workflow automation, data integrations, and secure infrastructure to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, accelerate payment processes, and create better visibility across healthcare financial operations.
They are looking for an extraordinaire hands-on CTO to lead technology, product architecture, and engineering execution for a new AI healthcare payments company.
This is not an advisory CTO role but one of a hands-on technical leader who can build the product, architect the platform, recruit the early engineering team, and move quickly from MVP to scalable commercial product.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
Experience :
- Experience building products from zero to one.
- Ideally Former founder or early technical leadership experience (Not mandatory).
- Structured technical training in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Led end-to-end 0→1 product development and launched an MVP into production where you personally contributed to core technical deliverables and system architecture.
- Built and scaled an early engineering organization: recruited the first engineers, owned the technology vision and roadmap, and delivered engineering execution from MVP toward a scalable commercial product.
- Delivered products in regulated, transaction-heavy domains (preferably healthcare payments/RCM/fintech) or equivalent complex workflow environments—owning integrations, secure/scalable system design, and AI-enabled workflow automation for payment/claims/reconciliation workflows.
Key Competencies :
- 0→1 product development & hands‑on engineering: proven ability to personally build an MVP and ship production software (founding/early‑engineer level).
- Software architecture & AI/automation systems design: designing secure, scalable architectures that embed AI/ML and workflow automation for transaction‑heavy pipelines.
- Domain & leadership combo: healthcare payments / revenue‑cycle (RCM) domain understanding plus early‑stage engineering leadership (recruiting and leading the first engineers).
Software tools and Technology :
- Cloud infrastructure & container orchestration — admin / operator : design and operate secure, scalable production environments, CI/CD, and deployment for a HIPAA-sensitive SaaS platform.
- AI/ML frameworks & data pipelines — advanced / power user : build model training/inference pipelines, feature/ETL workflows, model serving and observability for AI-enabled workflow automation.
- Healthcare interoperability, claims & payments integrations — working / intermediate : implement data ingestion/normalization and secure integrations with EMR/claims/billing/payment systems for revenue-cycle workflows.
Areas of focus :
