Registered Nurse – CVOR travel assignment in Utica, New York. This travel (temporary) opportunity starts on 06/08/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,388 to $1,464, with guaranteed hours of 20 per week. The schedule is two 10-hour day shifts per week (2x10h Days). The CVOR unit serves adult patients and uses EPIC for charting and Omnicell for supply management. On-call requirements apply up to seven days per four-week schedule, including one full weekend. This position involves a two-shift-per-week commitment in an acute-care CVOR setting with potential float to other units as census dictates.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular procedures in the CVOR, including pre-op assessment, verification, and intraoperative monitoring.
- Assist the surgical team with sterile technique, instrumentation handling, and patient safety throughout the procedure.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively and coordinate with anesthesia and PACU staff; document care and events in the EPIC EMR.
- Maintain sterile fields, manage equipment and supplies, and support medication administration using Omnicell as required.
- Facilitate patient handoff to PACU, ensure accurate charting, and participate in post-op care planning.
- Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled (up to 7 days per four-week cycle, including one full weekend) and float to other units if census requires.

Requirements
- Current New York State Registered Nurse license
- Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program (Graduate of an approved nursing program)
- Minimum 1 year of perioperative/CVOR nursing experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Ability to work two 10-hour day shifts per week and participate in on-call rotations; willing to float to other units as needed
- Experience with EPIC EMR and Omnicell is preferred
