Overview

The Vice President of OOH Investment leads a high‑performing team responsible for national OOH investment strategy, partner negotiations, and client growth. This role blends marketplace expertise, people leadership, and operational excellence to ensure OOH delivers measurable value for clients. The VP will shape team culture, strengthen marketplace relationships, and drive adoption of Apex’s investment solutions. Candidates should bring 10+ years of OOH industry experience and a proven track record of leading teams and managing complex investment portfolios.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Developing Talent

  • Manage the career development of team members through coaching, feedback, and clear growth pathways.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for performance reviews, ensuring fair, evidence‑based assessments across the full team—not only direct reports.
  • Set, review, and support annual goals for direct reports, ensuring alignment with broader Apex priorities.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, encouraging diverse hiring and embracing different perspectives.
  • Define and refine account or project ownership structures for team members to ensure clarity, accountability, and development opportunities.

Partnerships & Marketplace Leadership

  • Act as a subject‑matter expert in the OOH channel and partner landscape, staying ahead of marketplace shifts and emerging opportunities.
  • Lead mid‑ to small‑scale partner negotiations independently, ensuring strong value delivery for clients.
  • Oversee relationships with key vendors, understanding their offerings and serving as an escalation point for complex issues.
  • Collaborate with regional leads and cross‑channel partners to identify account‑specific needs, integrated opportunities, and marketplace solutions.
  • Make informed decisions on partner fit, campaign feasibility, and alignment with Apex standards.

Client & Business Growth

  • Build strong relationships with key account leads to gather feedback, identify capability gaps, and increase visibility of Apex’s OOH offering.
  • Serve as a key contributor to account growth plans, bringing forward opportunities that elevate OOH’s role in client strategies.
  • Oversee client satisfaction across campaign launches and ongoing management, escalating challenges and operational opportunities to SVP+ leadership.
  • Engage directly with clients and agency partners to solicit feedback and identify areas for service or process improvement.
  • Contribute to new business efforts, including pitch development and marketplace strategy recommendations.

Operational & Financial Excellence

  • Manage day‑to‑day strategic execution across the team, ensuring workload balance, solution adoption, and high‑quality delivery.
  • Oversee pacing, forecasting, and financial stewardship across accounts, ensuring accuracy and profitability.
  • Drive adoption of Apex investment solutions, including investment deals, pacing tools, and operational frameworks.
  • Maintain strong relationships with VP‑level peers across the agency to support escalation, troubleshooting, and cross‑team collaboration.
  • Model inclusive leadership by being reasonably accessible across regional working hours, ensuring teams in all markets feel supported and connected.
  • Act as connective tissue across Publicis Groupe entities—including Epsilon, PMX, and other shared capabilities—to unlock integrated value for clients.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in OOH media, investment, or related fields.
  • Deep expertise in the OOH marketplace, including formats, pricing, measurement, and vendor dynamics.
  • Proven experience leading teams, developing talent, and managing senior‑level relationships.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing large‑scale or complex investments.
  • Ability to translate marketplace insights into actionable strategies for clients and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, transparency, and high‑integrity decision‑making.
  • Strong operational and financial management skills, with experience overseeing pacing, forecasting, and profitability.

Compensation Range: $149,340.00 - $239,148.00 USD annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
