Night Auditor
The Twenty Two is a luxury lifestyle hotel based in London. We have recently opened a new property with an all-day public restaurant and private members’ club located in the former Margaret Louisa Home in Union Square.
We are looking for a Night Auditor to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates who are customer-service oriented and excel at administrative tasks. Front desk experience is a plus.
Overview:
The Night Auditor ensures the safety and security of guests and staff while providing excellent customer service. You will serve as the primary point of contact for guests during the night, handling check-ins and check-outs, addressing guest inquiries and requests, and ensuring that all hotel facilities are operating smoothly. In the absence of the Night Manager, the ideal candidate should have the ability to work independently and make decisions in the presence of conflict.
General Responsibilities:
- Assist and coordinate with other hotel departments; including, but does not limit to: Engineering, Security, Butlers, Housekeeping, F&B, etc.
- Conduct guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accuracy in booking procedures.
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and professional manner, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.
- Monitor hotel facilities with help from the overnight security team, addressing any issues or emergencies that may arise and ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff.
- Oversee the night audit process, including reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping, Butlers, and maintenance, to ensure that guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained.
- To coordinate special requests & amenities for guests, ensuring that their expectations are exceeded.
- To have a strong working knowledge of our food & beverage offerings, enabling the taking of orders from guests & making informed recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols, during the overnight shift.
Qualifications + Experience Required:
- Opera, Micros and Fourth Hospitality proficiency preferred
- 1+ year(s) experience as a Night Auditor & Front Office experience preferred
- Strong problem-solver and the ability to work under pressure
- Flexibility to work overnights, weekends & holidays
- Fluency in English, both written & spoken (a 2nd language would be an added advantage).
- Ability to perform computer-based tasks such as data entry, word processing, invoicing, and billing
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications and outlook
