Central Fill Production Team Lead

Support the daily operations of the facility by maintaining production workflow in alignment with established goals and service level agreements. Act as a key contributor to team success by facilitating mail operations, resolving customer concerns, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily production and mail operations are executed efficiently and in accordance with facility goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, conducting investigations and responding to comment forms with professionalism and urgency.
  • Provide cross-functional support to pharmacy operations as needed, including order fulfillment and inventory processes.
  • Develop and implement new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with peers and leadership to identify and resolve operational issues, escalating when appropriate.
  • Plan, assign, and organize daily work assignments to optimize team productivity and meet performance targets.
  • Perform hands-on facility tasks as needed, including receiving, replenishment, put-away, dispensing, sorting, shipping, and returns processing.
  • Lead small work teams to support continuous improvement efforts and foster a culture of operational excellence.
  • Ensure team adherence to McKesson’s Site Security, Safety Guidelines, and SOPs.
  • Maintain open and consistent communication with team members and leadership regarding performance, challenges, and successes.
  • Provide confidential performance feedback to supervisors and support employee development.
  • Retrieve and manage supplies necessary for daily operations.
  • Deliver peer training and support the onboarding and development of new team members.
  • Promote and embody McKesson’s Shared Principles (I2CARE & ILEAD) in all interactions and decisions.
  • Uphold the 5S methodology to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Support Specialty Tracking and other operational duties as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of McKesson Central Fill operations, including mail processes and inventory systems.
  • Prior experience in training or mentoring team members.
  • Proficiency with Global Ship shipping application.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Work performed in both office and temperature-controlled production environments.
  • Must be able to lift 30+ lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.

Schedule

  • Rotational 4- or 5-day schedule; specific hours to be determined.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
