Job Title: Construction Carpenter

Job Description

Join our team as a carpenter and contribute to the construction and repair of modular office units. These offices serve as essential spaces for field supervisors and crews on job sites. Our company is looking to expand its team permanently, offering you the chance to be part of a rebuilding effort within a stable company. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including new construction, office outfitting, and field repairs.

Responsibilities

• Construct and assemble modular office units according to blueprints, including walls, floors, ceilings, and other structural components.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to complete projects.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on existing modular office units.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a carpenter. carpenter's helper in commercial or residential construction.
• Ability to use a tape measure effectively.
• Reliable transportation to the job site.
• Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or vocational training program.
• Proven experience in modular construction.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good physical stamina and strength.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. You will work on a team of 6-8 production associates in the yard or covered trailers during production. The work environment includes a focus on safety and collaboration among team members.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Syracuse, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
