We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Senior sales professional to join our Prime Brokerage (PB) Sales team in New York. This individual will be responsible for originating and managing client relationships across hedge funds, asset managers, and institutional investors, with a focus on PB, equity financing, Delta One, and stock loan solutions. The role requires deep market knowledge, strong technical fluency, and a proven ability to deliver customized financing and execution strategies. A key focus will be on building out the Cash Prime Brokerage platform, including prospecting, onboarding, and establishing senior connectivity at the hedge fund C-suite level. Experience in prior PB buildouts, risk frameworks, and a deep understanding of client requirements are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Prime Brokerage buildout:

• Lead the strategic buildout of the Cash PB platform, including prospecting and onboarding new clients.
• Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with hedge fund C-suite executives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement client-friendly risk frameworks and operational workflows.
• Understand and address client requirements across equity, convertible bond, hard-to-borrow, and event-driven strategies.
• Provide expert-level guidance on synthetic equity financing and collateral optimization.
• Partner with trading, risk, legal, and operations to ensure seamless execution.
• Represent the firm at industry events and client forums.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Cash Prime Brokerage, equity TRS, Delta One, and stock loan markets.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Prime Brokerage, Equity Finance, or related sales roles.
• Strong client network and track record of revenue generation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to navigate complex internal processes and drive cross-team initiatives.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
