Massanois is a New York City–based national importer and direct distributor of fine wines and craft spirits. We represent a portfolio of 250+ family-owned, quality-driven wineries and distilleries from around the world.
Massanois is seeking a Domestic Brand Manager – for our Manhattan headquarters. If you are positive, inspiring, and live and breathe Wine, this role is for you. We are looking for a seasoned wine professional with a passion for launching, building, and managing great Brands. You should thrive when thinking about wine, the marketplace, and storytelling—and know how to harness these levers to create a successful business. As a Domestic Brand Manager, you will help set the vision for our Domestic Portfolio: managing existing wineries, sourcing new producers to drive growth, and bringing those brands to life in collaboration with our sales and management teams. This is a leadership role requiring strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to balance brand-building with hands-on sales execution. In this role, you will:
* Define and execute the vision for the Domestic Portfolio in Massanois Direct and National Markets
* Manage existing winery relationships and source new partnerships
* Source new additions to the portfolio in line with our category goals
* Oversee inventory analysis and assist purchasing across multiple warehouses
* Anticipate supply/demand issues and communicate solutions internally and with winery partners
* Report on brand performance, highlighting opportunities, challenges, and actionable solutions - internal and external
* Develop strategies (sales, pricing, inventory, education, etc.) to achieve brand and sales objectives
* Personally drive sales through direct key account work in our markets and collaboration with sales teams nationally
* Develop direct-to-trade sales efforts through in person, email, digital tools, and social promotion
* Support wineries in all press, critic, and PR opportunities
* Manage samples, organize tastings, and ensure operational readiness
* Communicate new vintages and wines to sales teams and ensure price books, website, and marketing materials are updated About You
* Deep background and relationships in wine sourcing
* Proven ability to build and sustain key account relationships
* Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and comfort in numbers-driven decision-making
* Excellent communication skills—able to inspire trade partners, winery partners, colleagues, and customers alike
* Strong organizational skills with a track record of delivering against growth and revenue goals
* Willingness to lift 40 lbs. (at Massanois, everyone still helps move wine when needed!) Requirements
* 5+ years of sales experience with a wine importer, wholesaler, or retailer
* Deep knowledge of and passion for the fine wine category specifically Domestic wineries
* Experience with inventory management and purchasing
* Strong Excel skills required; proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
* Salesforce experience a plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both storytelling to trade and business case building with management) Confidentiality: All inquiries will be handled in strict confidence.
