CDL - Local Driver
Climate Engineering Companies, operating as Northway Transport Refrigeration, is a leading heavy-duty truck and trailer repair company with multiple locations. We are seeking a dependable Local Truck Driver to support our operations through timely transportation of units, parts, and other materials to and from customer and vendor locations. Responsibilities- Daily Driving Duties:
- Safely deliver and pick up trailers/units within the Eastern New York, Western Massachusetts area – No overnight travel required
- Perform and document pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Capture photos of delivered and received units for records
- Complete delivery and pickup paperwork accurately
- Comply with traffic laws and company driving policies
- When Not on the Road:
- Assist shop technicians with daily tasks
- Support building maintenance technician as needed
- Pick up parts from local vendors and suppliers
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on company vehicles
Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Professional communication with dispatchers, customers, and shop staff
- Strong attention to safety and compliance
- Prior experience operating tractor-trailers is a plus
