Content Writer (Website & Blog)

We’re a Tampa-based digital marketing agency specializing in SEO and AI SEO for home services and professional services businesses. Founder Steve Scott has 25+ years in the SEO industry and is a licensed Search Engine Academy associate. We work primarily with home services (HVAC, roofing, moving, pressure washing) and professional services (law, consulting).

We are a small, friendly, and forward-thinking team. We embrace AI while maintaining quality and authenticity.

Your Role:

We need a versatile content writer who can create website pages, blog posts, and the occasional email newsletter/campaigns for our digital marketing agency's clients. You'll write homepage copy, service pages, location pages, blogs, and occasional emails - then publish blogs yourself and hand off website content to our developer.

• 100% remote work
• Part-time, 10-15 hrs/week
• Contract-based
• Payment USD 0.06-0.10/word (based on experience and qualifications)

Who You Are

Must-Haves:

✅Able to work within the EST time zone

✅ 2-3+ years writing experience (agency, freelance, or in-house)

✅ Portfolio with 3-5 samples (website pages + blog posts)

✅ Exceptional writing - clear, engaging, error-free

✅ Quick learner - can research unfamiliar topics (HVAC, roofing, legal, etc.), and willingness to familiarize yourself with our internal project management system and other software

✅ Adaptable voice - write for different brand personalities

✅ Self-directed - manage your own time and deadlines

✅ Client-ready communication - professional on calls and in writing

✅ Juggler mentality - handle 8-12 clients without dropping balls

Highly Preferred (but can be trained on-the-job):

⭐ SEO knowledge - keyword research, on-page optimization (we can train if needed)

⭐ WordPress experience - comfortable publishing posts

⭐ AI tool proficiency - ChatGPT, Claude for research and efficiency

⭐ Home services writing - HVAC, roofing, contractors, moving, etc.

Nice-to-Have (We'll teach you):

Conversion copywriting techniques

Project management tools (Teamwork, Asana)

AI search optimization (ChatGPT, Perplexity visibility)

Email marketing best practices

Strong fundamentals + eagerness to learn outweighs knowing everything from day one.
