Overview
Perioperative/Surgical Technologist (CST required) – Rochester, New York. Start date: 06/22/2026. Travel assignment for several weeks on a 4x10 Days shift in a hospital setting. Weekly pay range of $1,604 to $1,630. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. This position supports a busy operating room with multiple service lines and a high daily case volume.

Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team throughout perioperative cases, including general/abdominal, vascular, orthopedic, neurosurgery, ENT, gynecology, thoracic, urologic, and other service lines as needed.
- Prepare the sterile field, pass instruments, and maintain aseptic technique; perform counts with accuracy; anticipate instrument and supply needs; assist with draping and specimen handling.
- Operate as a scrub technician or circulating role as assigned; support robot-assisted procedures and complex cases with appropriate instrumentation.
- Maintain instrument and room turnover efficiency; communicate with circulator and surgeon to ensure patient safety and timely case progression.
- Support charting in EPIC per established documentation standards; verify case details and assist with postoperative counts and documentation as required.
- Adapt to floating across units as needed, while maintaining 1:1 patient safety considerations and compliance with Universal Protocol.

Requirements
- NY license required in hand to submit
- CST certification (NBSTSA) required unless previously worked as a surgical tech in NY prior to 2015
- Minimum 1 year perioperative experience (system requirement); 3+ years preferred
- Previous charge experience required
- Travel experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Ability to work in a hospital operating room environment and to float to other areas as needed
- Must meet all facility credentialing and background check requirements
