Senior Residential Counselor
The Senior Residential Counselor is a member of the Residential Team!
In this job offer, you will provide quality care to residents, support the Residential Manager in coordinating day-to-day operations of the residential program, and act as the manager on duty as assigned.


The Senior Residential Counselor assists with ensuring the safe and therapeutic treatment of residents in conformity with Gateway's goals and certifying/regulatory bodies including OMH/OPWDD/HUD.


You will record, monitor, and review Individual Service Plans/Residential Habilitation Plans for assigned caseload.
Senior Residential Counselors work with residents and assigned caseload on goals and everyday living expertise to foster growth and independence per Individual Service Plans.
You will assist with appropriate managerial tasks under the supervision of the Residential Manager and/or Director of Residential Services.
Senior Residential Counselors act as shift leader when on duty and model behavior for Residential Counselors, assist with the everyday staff scheduling of the residential program, assist the Residential Manager in finding staff coverage, and assist with staff training and orientation of new hires.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications for Senior Residential Counselor:
suitable education
Associate's Degree in human services related field
High School Diploma accepted


practice:
2 years' practice in Human Services field.
4 years' related practice with High School Diploma.



Must have a Valid NYS Drivers' License
Must have a favorable result from all state, federal, and agency mandated background check
