Senior Corporate Attorney

Location: New York City, NY

A boutique, high-performing corporate practice is seeking a Senior Corporate Attorney (6+ years) with strong experience in corporate transactional work, particularly sell-side M&A . This role offers immediate integration into a sophisticated deal practice with meaningful exposure to healthcare and defense contracting transactions.

This opportunity is well suited for an attorney looking to take real ownership of deals, work closely with experienced partners, and operate in a more sustainable, mid-size firm environment .

• Work on complex, high-stakes transactions with direct client exposure

• Gain experience in healthcare (diagnostic labs, provider groups) and defense contracting , two highly specialized and growing sectors

• Take on meaningful responsibility— leading and driving transactions , not just supporting

• Lead and support sell-side M&A transactions , frequently involving private equity buyers or PE-backed acquirers

• Advise clients across multiple industries, with strong exposure to healthcare and defense contracting transactions

• Provide occasional support on hospital and healthcare regulatory matters as needed

• Draft, review, and negotiate key transactional documents, including:

  • Purchase agreements

  • Disclosure schedules

  • Ancillary and closing documents

• Conduct due diligence and provide practical, commercially aligned guidance throughout the transaction lifecycle

• Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on deal execution and client relationships

• Deliver business-oriented legal advice aligned with client objectives

• Exposure to industry-specific, sophisticated transactions that build valuable market expertise

• Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with senior attorneys

• NY bar license

• Base Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience (starting around $250K+)
