Job Title: Payroll Coordinator

Location: New York, NY 10004

Duration: 9 Weeks (Contract)

Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay Rate: $32 – $38 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations and act as a liaison between employees and the payroll team. This role involves assisting staff with payroll inquiries, reviewing timekeeping records, and ensuring payroll data is accurate and compliant with organizational policies. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced administrative environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee payroll and timekeeping inquiries

• Review and reconcile employee timesheets and payroll records for accuracy

• Assist with payroll preparation and support payroll processing activities

• Respond to employee questions related to pay, timekeeping, and adjustments

• Utilize payroll systems and internal tools to troubleshoot payroll issues

• Support employees with payroll documentation and system navigation

• Escalate complex payroll or timekeeping issues to the appropriate internal teams

• Maintain accurate payroll documentation and ensure policy compliance

• Provide backup support to the payroll support team when required

• Assist with payroll reports, audits, and other administrative projects as needed

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• Minimum 1 year of payroll, timekeeping, or payroll reconciliation experience

• Experience using payroll systems or similar administrative software

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise payroll systems or HRIS platforms

• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar case management tools

• Experience supporting payroll operations within healthcare or large organizations
