REQUIREMENTS
Role Purpose
This role is central to creating an office people want to be in - not just somewhere they work from.
The Office Manager will play a key role in shaping the day-to-day experience of our NYC team, creating an environment where people feel welcome, energised, supported, and set up to perform at their best.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of the office - combining operations, employee experience, and close partnership with HR and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Office Operations:
- Own the day-to-day running of the NYC office, ensuring everything operates seamlessly.
- Manage vendors (cleaning, maintenance, supplies) and hold them to high standards.
- Keep the office well-stocked, organised, and consistently high quality.
- Liaise with IT to ensure systems and workspace resources are effectively managed to enable a productive, high-performing team.
- Manage the office budget with a focus on both efficiency and experience.
- Act as the key point of contact for building management.
Employee Experience:
- Nurture a vibrant, welcoming, and high-energy office environment.
- Bring ideas and execute initiatives that boost morale through employee engagement programs.
- Collaborate in planning and delivering events, celebrations, and team moments that people genuinely enjoy, aligned with Artlist culture.
- Support HR and leadership to continuously improve the employee experience.
- Be a go-to person in the office - approachable, helpful, and resourceful
HR & Talent Acquisition support
- Support onboarding and offboarding to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
- Assist with recruitment activities and help ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Partner with the global HR team to align local initiatives with wider company practices.
- Help connect the NYC office with the broader global team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Office Manager or similar role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands.
- Proactive, hands-on and solutions-focused, with a willingness to get stuck in.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business
- Positive, approachable and service-oriented, with a genuine passion for creating an engaging workplace culture.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
- Experience managing vendors, facilities and workplace operations.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high-quality employee experience.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting employee engagement activities, events or internal communications.
- Experience working closely with HR, Talent or People teams.
- Experience managing office budgets and vendor contracts.
- Experience in a technology, SaaS or creative business.
This position is a full time position with a salary range of $85,000 - $95,000, Monday - Thursday in the office, with Friday working from home.
This salary range is reflective of a position based in New York, New York. Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience, and since ARTLIST has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
