We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our RV and Marine dealership team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, with a strong emphasis on brakes and air brake systems. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our customers', focusing on high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. Your expertise in diesel engines, along with your ability to troubleshoot and repair complex brake systems, will be critical to our success in delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily in a shop environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
- The role may require standing for long periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.

Requirements:Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, fuel systems, and exhaust systems in RVs and marine vessels.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel-powered RVs and marine vessels.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to accurately identify issues and ensure proper repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
- Provide accurate estimates of repair times and costs to customers.
- Ensure all work is performed to the highest quality standards and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in diesel engine technology and repair techniques.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and service personnel to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in diesel mechanics is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with diesel engines, preferably in RVs and/or marine vessels.
- Proficiency with diesel engine diagnostic tools and software.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license.
