Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide speech-language therapy services in a K-12 educational setting in Auburn, NY, supporting students with diverse needs. This contract role offers two full-time positions covering leaves, with part of the academic year specified: one from September to December 2025, and another from November 2025 to April 2026. The position involves an itinerant schedule with travel between schools and a standard workweek of approximately 36.25 hours over 7.25 hours per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students based on individual education plans (IEPs) across K-12 grades.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
- Document therapy sessions and student progress using the districts IEP system, with training provided.
- Utilize indirect hours effectively to plan and prepare therapeutic activities.
- Adhere to district policies including compliance with fingerprinting and licensing requirements.
- Provide or receive supervision according to credential level; New York licensure is required.
- Manage caseloads within district guidelines and maintain professional communication with administrative leads.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
- Eligible or licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State.
- Experience working with pediatric populations within educational or healthcare settings.
- Familiarity with school-based therapy delivery models, including itinerant services.
- Ability to engage in teletherapy is a plus, though this position currently does not support virtual service delivery.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Location: Auburn, NY
